Smith & Wesson CH400DLB Cuttin Horse

The Smith & Wesson CH400DLB Cuttin Horse is another unusual offering from S&W. This knife is actually 2 knives in one, and for $15 I think it is just a plain cool knife. Lets take a closer look at what makes the Cuttin Horse tick.

Smith and Wesson Cuttin Horse

First of all, this knife is rather unusual for S&W because it features a liner lock (well, 2 to be exact). Most of Smith and Wesson‘s current knives are fixed or liner lock so lock back fans (like me) can rejoice to see a knife made just for them.

Here we have 2, 3 inch long, opposing folding blades with 2 opposing liner locks. The first blade is a plain edge saber grind and the second is a fully serrated saber grind. To me, this makes so much more sense than a partially serrated EDC blade. Both blades are hit with a matte black teflon coating.

This knife is nice and light for having 2 blades – 3.6 ounces makes it an excellent carry option. The pocket clip is nice and sturdy and lends the knife to EDC applications.
